At Strathmore Farm, we offer you peaceful, relaxing and friendly accommodation in our cottage set amongst our 2 ½ acres of gardens, mature European specimen trees and local fruit trees and berries. We make produce from those very same fruits trees under the banner of our Fruits of Strathmore label. To find out more, read on below or just click either of the buttons to be taken direct to our booking page or our online shop.
Our B&B is a fully equipped and renovated two bedroom cottage set amongst our 2 ½ acres of gardens and trees. It has all the comforts of home, to enable you to head out and explore, any time of the year, and return home to a relaxing cool or warm abode. Settle in to relive the day's adventures - or vege out watching our movies or streaming services.
A fully equipped kitchen, reverse-cycle aircon, smart TV, Blue-Ray DVD, Bluetooth enabled stereo and free WiFi gives you all the creature comforts. Rise freshly renewed and enjoy our included delicious continental breakfast that comprises farm-made crusty white bread, farm-made jams and preserves, farm-made granola (thanks to our customer's requests, we now sell it, too!), real plunger coffee, tea and delicious orange juice.
We've also prepared a quick overview of everything you might need in the "food and fuel" department here and you can also get our recommendations for en-route shopping and provisioning options in the B&B FAQ section.
While you can book with us online, we realise you may also want to speak to us before doing so, or maybe you just prefer to book over the phone. Either way, we are delighted to be of service. Just call us on +61 412 300251 and if we are not immediately available, you can leave a message and we will call you straight back.
Check out our Facebook page for the B&B too and send us a message that way if you prefer!
And we are delighted to have been awarded recognition of our efforts and customer satisfaction by Kayak, one of the web's leading online travel agents. This means we have had a minimum of 50 reviews with a minimum overall rating of 8. We are very grateful to our guests for this!
Fruits of Strathmore is our artisanal, small-batch preserves business selling chutneys, relishes, sauces, cordials, jellies, jams and marmalades made on the premises and with the fruits from our own trees and those of neighbours and friends in the immediate area.
We use the minimum of sugar to preserve and to ensure we deliver the best possible taste for you. We sell our preserves through selected local markets we regularly attend and via a trusted network of retail partners who hold the same values of customer service and delight that we do.
We also have an online shop where you may purchase our preserves and have them delivered to you by Australia Post - or you can pick up at one of our markets, or come to the farm, if that is convenient. If you are Melbourne based, sometimes it is faster and easier if we drop them off, if we are already heading your way. We try to be flexible whenever we can.
You can check out where we have our stuff available here.
And finally, you can join us on our Facebook page below and keep up with everything that is going on in the larder - or call the cook!
We are passionate about serving the people who buy from us and stay with us. They are the very reason we operate. Our philosophy is quite simple: we strive to make our preserves and our cottage feel like coming home. We love feedback, good and not so good, because it helps us to learn if we are doing things well or where we need to spend time improving. And we love that our customers take the time to share with us their thoughts about how our preserves and our stays make them feel. We present some of them in the next pages, from both our businesses.
We live in the best part of Victoria! Almost everyone thinks of Wilsons Promontory when you mention South Gippsland. But, it's only a small part of what we think is the most underrated region of Victoria. And Mirboo North sits right in the middle of it.
Check out why you need to come down here and stay with us - and taste our chutneys, jellies, jams, sauces, pastes and cordials - and all the other wonderful goodies we have around us!
Oh, and visit Wilsons Prom!

We came to Mirboo North seven years ago from Melbourne, to retire. We have three adult children in Melbourne and spend our days making jams and chutneys, mowing our gardens, fixing up our house and checking on the cows and sheep.
